SIA Nordtext has received the certificate of the quality management system standard ISO 9001:2008, thereby becoming one of the first translation agencies in the Baltic Statesto be certified according to this prestigious management system standard.

The audit was performed in April 2009 under the supervision of Agris Aizpurietis, Lead Auditor of Det Norske Veritas, one of the world’s leading certification institutions.
The ISO 9001:2008 standard establishes international quality requirements for management systems and its objective is to assist companies in creating, documenting and maintaining a system aimed at ensuring customer satisfaction. In its preparations for certification, Nordtext improved its current quality management system and paid particular attention to processes such as vendor and project management, financial management, as well as customer satisfaction assessment.
The successful certification testifies that Nordtext is determined to continuously improve its standard of service quality and fulfill all its obligations not just meeting the requirements of its clients, but even exceeding them.
According to Nordtext Managing Director, Kristaps Kvelde: “Since the very beginning, the services provided by Nordtext have been oriented towards meeting customer requirements by providing customized, high quality translation and localization services. Det Norske Veritas Lead Auditor, Agris Aizpurietis explained: “The ISO 9001:2008 certificate is an independent third-party testimony to the fact that the certified company is a reliable collaboration partner and that it can keep the promises given to customers in the stipulated time period, quality and amount. Prior to issuing the ISO 9001:2008 certificate to SIA Nordtext, two auditing processes were carried out – pre-audit and certification audit. The results of both auditing processes testify that the management of SIA Nordtext systematically works on the improvement of translation efficiency and quality and that it uses the certification process on its merits to identify possible areas for improvement of the company’s management system.”
